Antonio Marco Pantaleo is program manager for energy systems and clean technologies at the European Innovation Council since sept 2020. He is research fellow at the Dept of Chemical engineering of Imperial College, Centre for process systems engineering and clean energy processes laboratory, since 2014 and associate professor of applied physics at the University of Bari since 2006. He got a first degree in electric engineering, a PhD in chemical engineering and his research interests include thermoeconomic optimization of energy systems, biosystems engineering, power systems optimization, clean heating and cooling processes. He worked in the development of renewable power plants for industrial operators and with the italian transmission network operator, he co-founded an energy service company, was vice-rector for energy efficiency at University of Bari and consultant for public institutions, energy utilities and industrial operators. He authored over 100 peer reviewed research works and managed at the European Innovation Council over 100 MEur budget in pathfinder challenges in 20021-24.
