ECOFACT

The ECOFACT project, supported by EU funding, is designed to revolutionize energy-efficient and sustainable management practices within manufacturing industries. It introduces the ECO-innovative Energy FACTory Management platform that integrates advanced ICT technologies, such as smart sensors and IIoT, to optimize energy performance and environmental sustainability across production systems. Central to its approach is the adoption of dynamic Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), enabling real-time evaluation of environmental impacts and cost efficiencies. By leveraging interoperability and data-driven methodologies, ECOFACT enhances operational efficiency, considering factors from raw materials to production processes. The project aims to deliver a comprehensive Decision Support System (DSS) that empowers factory managers with actionable insights for informed decision-making, ultimately promoting greener manufacturing practices aligned with consumer demands and regulatory requirements.
